With the extension of PowerCenter 10.5.x support until March 31, 2031 through the LTS program, organizations now have a broader timeframe to prepare for their evolution. Rebuilding and Preparing the PowerCenter Environment
Our methodology relies on an automated process that enables us to rebuild the client’s PowerCenter environment within our own infrastructure, using their repository backup, regardless of the version in use between 9.5 and 10.4.
Once the environment has been rebuilt, we automate the upgrade to version 10.5.x in order to prepare the next stages within a controlled framework.
We then carry out an assessment of the repository to analyze the portfolio of data flows and classify them according to three levels of complexity: Auto, Partial, and Manual.
This classification provides a clear view of the migration scope, the key technical points requiring attention, and the level of effort associated with the migration.
A Migration Path Toward IDMC
Based on this analysis, AJUSTEO is able to define a migration path toward IDMC, including the direct migration of PowerCenter flows and their import into the target environment.
Depending on the client’s context, we can also provide support with migration configuration, or allow the client to retain full control over this phase.
This approach makes it possible to address the main challenges encountered in modernization projects in a structured manner: excessively large flows, complex dependencies, processes that need to be broken down, or objects requiring manual remediation.
